Here's a quick guide on what to do if you encounter a MINOR_DATA_VALIDATION: This item was unable to be processed.: unknown error for an item.
What does this error mean?
You may occasionally see an error message that reads: MINOR_DATA_VALIDATION: This item was unable to be processed.: unknown.
This error doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your product data. It simply means that when we sent the information, Target+'s system had a temporary internal error or timeout that prevented it from processing your item at that moment.
How do I fix it? π‘
The solution is to have our system attempt to resend the item. You can easily trigger this by making a small, stylistic change to the item's listing. This edit signals that the product has been updated and causes it to be resent to Target+ for processing.
Follow these steps:
Find the item that has the error.
Make a minor edit to the item's bullet points or its description. The change can be minimal.
Good examples: Add or remove a period at the end of a sentence, fix a minor typo, or correct a small grammatical error.
Save your changes.
Once you save the edit, the item will be automatically resubmitted to Target+. The temporary issue is almost always resolved by then, and the item will process successfully. β
