The Error Message
"Unlisted item - systematically releases barcode if there are no orders in the last 120 days: unknown"
What does this mean?
Target periodically "suspends" or unlists items that have not seen any sales activity within a rolling 120-day window.
To maintain a high-quality guest experience and reduce "item clutter" in its digital catalog, Target’s system automatically moves the barcode (GTIN/UPC) to inactive status if the product appears stagnant. Essentially, if an item hasn't sold in four months, Target assumes it's no longer relevant or available.
Can I get my item back online?
Yes. While the de-listing is systematic, it is not always permanent. As a Target+ partner, you have the right to appeal this decision if you believe the item should remain active.
How to Resolve the Error
Since this action was taken by Target’s internal system (not by Acenda), you will need to contact them directly to reinstate the listing.
Open a Case: Log into your Target Partner Online portal and open a support case.
Provide Context: Explain why the item has not sold in the last 120 days. Common valid reasons include:
Seasonality: (e.g., "This is a winter coat that we expect to trend starting in October.")
Listing Errors: The item was previously suppressed or had incorrect imagery that has since been fixed.
Supply Chain: Recent stockouts prevented sales, but inventory is now replenished.
Request Re-activation: Ask the Target support team to "manually whitelist" or reactivate the barcode for your specific TCIN.
