Bulk Updating Product Images in Acenda

You can update product images in bulk across your catalog by importing a CSV or Excel spreadsheet containing product SKUs and image URLs.

Step 1: Prepare Your Spreadsheet

Create a spreadsheet with your product SKUs and direct image URLs. Use the following exact column headers to control image positioning and variant assignments:

  • sku – Your product SKU identifier

  • images.default.main.url – Primary main product image

  • images.default.1.alternate.url – Alternate image 1

  • images.default.2.alternate.url – Alternate image 2

  • images.default.3.alternate.url – Alternate image 3

  • images.default.swatch.url – Color or variant swatch image

Step 2: Upload to Acenda

  1. Open Admin and navigate to Import/Export.

  2. Set the Import Type to Catalog.

  3. Choose and upload your prepared CSV or Excel file.

  4. Verify that the column mappings match correctly, then click Process Import.

During mapping, ensure the sku column matches the product SKU in Acenda (e.g., TSHIRT-BLK-M) so the image URLs bind to the correct listing.

Note: Image updates take 1–2 business days to sync and reflect on connected marketplace channels.

Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting

Why haven't my live marketplace listings updated after a few days?

Some marketplaces require a content change trigger to pull updated image assets.

  • Fix: Make a minor edit to a text attribute on the affected product—such as adding or removing a period in one of the Bullet Features. This forces a fresh version push to the marketplace, usually going live within 24 hours.

How do I change the display order of my images?

Update the URL placements across the numbered alternate image columns (e.g., images.default.1.alternate.url, images.default.2.alternate.url) in your spreadsheet and re-import the file.

Why are duplicate or old images showing after I deleted them?

Certain marketplaces (e.g., Target+) do not allow you to reduce the total number of images on an existing listing (e.g., from 7 to 5).

  • Best Practice: Always overwrite obsolete image fields with new image assets rather than deleting them or leaving cells blank.

  • Workaround: If you do not have a new image to swap in, replace the old URL with a link to a solid white square JPG. On marketplaces with white backgrounds, this seamlessly hides the extra image slot.
