Comprehensive Guide to Managing Product Channel Mapping
Take full control of how your products appear across various sales channels (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) using either the Acenda Admin interface for individual tweaks or the Import Tool for large-scale updates.
Method 1: Direct Management (Single Product)
Use this method to manage settings for a specific product without spreadsheets.
Locate Your Product: Navigate to Items in the sidebar. Search for and select the product to open its details page.
Open Channel Settings: Click on the Channel Mapping tab (this may be labeled Sales Channel Settings or Syndication depending on your view).
Edit Specific Channel: You will see a list of your connected subscriptions. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) next to the specific channel you want to modify.
Adjust Settings: Change the Listing Action (see definitions below) or update the Posting Template.
Note: You can repeat this for each channel to apply different settings to the same product across different marketplaces.
Save: Click Update to apply your changes.
Method 2: Bulk Management (Import Tool)
Use this method to map new products or update existing ones in bulk using a data file.
Step 1: Prepare the Export
Go to Data Management > Import/Export.
Select the Exports tab.
Click + New Export, choose Channel Item Mapping, and click Export.
Download and open the file.
Step 2: Clean and Configure the File
Remove System Columns: Delete
id,created_at,created_by,updated_at,updated_by, andproduct_id.Product SKU: Ensure your SKUs are listed in the
product_skucolumn.Subscription ID: Found under Organization > Integrations. Enter the ID number located to the left of the sales channel name into the
subscription_idcolumn.Posting Template ID: Under Integrations, click Edit next to the marketplace and select the Posting Templates tab. Enter the ID number to the left of the template name into the
posting_template_idcolumn.Listing Action: Enter the desired status (e.g.,
FULL,UNLIST).
๐ก Pro Tip: To map one SKU to multiple channels, simply create multiple rows for that SKU, changing only the subscription_id and posting_template_id.
Step 3: Import the File
Format Your File: Microsoft Excel (XLS or XLSX) is the preferred format, and CSV UTF8 is also allowed, but XLS is preferred. Using the preferred Excel format helps maintain your data's integrity during the upload.
Go to the Imports tab in Acenda and click + New Import.
Select Channel Item Mapping as the type.
Upload your file and map the headers.
Crucial: Check the box "Overwrite any records that have the same ID" if you are updating existing mappings.
Click Start Import.
Listing Action Status Definitions
These statuses determine exactly how your product behaves on the marketplace:
Status | Effect | Typical Use Case |
FULL | Sends complete content and inventory. | Standard active listing. |
ZERO | Sends content but forces inventory to 0. | Pausing sales without removing the listing or for "Review Mode." |
UNLIST | Deactivates the listing from the marketplace. | Removing seasonal or discontinued items from a specific channel. |
โ ๏ธ Important Notes on Unlisting
Prerequisite: Enable Item Retirement: This is a global safety setting. If Enable Item Retirement is not checked under Organization > Integrations > [Your Channel] > Settings, the
UNLISTcommand will be ignored to prevent accidental mass-deletions.Data Integrity: Acenda preserves your items. The
UNLISTfunction removes products from the marketplace while keeping them safe in your Acenda catalog.Timing: Updates may take up to 24 hours to reflect on the channel.
Restoration: Reversing an
UNLISTaction (restoring toFULL) is not instantaneous. For certain channels, it can take up to 15 business days to fully restore a listing and its historical data.
