How to Write Effective Custom Prompts

Custom prompts enable you to generate text insights within your automated report. To get the best results, follow these guidelines:

  1. Be precise

    • Clearly state what data or platform you want the AI to look at (e.g., “Facebook Ads last month”).

    • Specify the type of insight you want (e.g., “actions taken,” “ROI,” “top campaign”).

  2. Be clear on the output

    • Tell Tara exactly how to format the answer:

      • Tone: “agency to client”, “positive framing”, “short summary”.

      • Structure: “Highlight positives, compare with previous month.”

    • Decide if you want bullet points or a short paragraph.

  3. Use character limits

    • Always define a max length (e.g., “Max 400 characters”).

    • This ensures the output fits neatly into your Google Slides template.

  4. Focus on value

    • Ask Tara to emphasize results, improvements, or opportunities.

    • Example: instead of “Show me all metrics”, try “Highlight which campaigns improved CTR vs. last month and explain why this is positive.”

  5. Keep it client-friendly

    • The goal is to make insights easy to read and positive in tone.

    • Avoid internal jargon unless you specify otherwise.

Campaign Performance & Actions

  • Facebook Ads:
“Check my Facebook ad account for the last month. Summarize key actions taken (new campaigns, paused ads, optimizations). Compare results to the previous month and highlight the improvements. Keep it under 400 characters, in a client-friendly tone.”

  • Google Ads:
“Review my Google Ads performance in the past 30 days. Explain changes in spend, clicks, and conversions. Highlight positive results and any trends that benefited performance compared to last month. Write it as if you’re reporting to a client.”

  • Meta vs. Google Comparison:
“Compare Meta Ads and Google Ads results from the last month. Highlight which platform brought the best cost-per-conversion, what changed vs. the previous month, and add one positive takeaway for the client. Max 450 characters.”

ROI & Revenue Insights

  • E-commerce Revenue:
“Analyze last month’s ad spend vs. revenue. Show ROAS, highlight channels with the best return, and mention how this compares to the previous period. Make it short, clear, and positive for a client update.”

  • Top Campaign ROI:
“Identify my best-performing campaign in the last 30 days. Show ROI and why it worked well. Suggest one action to continue or scale this success. Max 350 characters, agency-style.”

“Look at Meta Ads audience data for the last month. Show growth in reach and engagement, highlight the top creative, and explain in client-friendly language how this supports long-term growth.”
