Description of the typical people who take the Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer course

Updated over 5 months ago

The AIT course is ideal for fitness trainers of any kind, adapted physical educators, sport team coaches, therapists (PT, RT, OT), medical professionals and persons with disabilities.

There are no prerequisites for the AIT course.

The education provided in the AIT will give graduates the knowledge, methods, and protocols to provide safe and effective fitness training for persons with disability.

FITNESS TRAINERS & PARASPORT COACHES

The AIT is valuable for any fitness methodology or sports training!
The AIT is taught using general principles that can be applied to all fitness methodologies. ATA prioritizes functional movements for exercise because of their transference to real-world fitness needs (aka Activities of Daily Living).

πŸ‘‰ Trainers and Coaches make up approximately 60% of the AIT course graduates

THERAPISTS & MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS

Most medical professionals have a deep understanding of the practice within the clinical scope, but may lack the ability to provide daily fitness training or have the understanding that would enable them to manage a safe program. The AIT provides education and methods to allow therapists to provide fitness education, training and management!
πŸ‘‰ PTs, OTs, and RTs make up approximately 32% of the AIT course graduates

PHYSICAL EDUCATORS

Similar to fitness trainers, the AIT will enhance your ability to provide safe and effective fitness, sport, and games for 1-on-1 or groups.
