AIT Course Accreditation

Information about accreditation for the AIT course

Updated over 4 months ago

Certificates in adaptive fitness are not regulated by the US government and, as far as we are aware, not by any other country. So, your education is valid in any country!

We follow the international standard for Certification of Persons, ISO/IEC 17024:2012. Accreditation informs our policies and procedures for administering this certificate course. However, unlike physical therapists or doctors, fitness trainers do not have state or national accreditation requirements.

Accreditations such as the American National Standards Institute or the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) only validate testing protocols, NOT the actual learning objectives and practicality of the education provided.

ATA is dedicated to providing adaptive and inclusive fitness training education that is universally usable and practical, meaning learners can use their earned knowledge to provide training without rote memorization or unnecessary testing procedures.
