You can search for customers by name or customer number. The following steps walk you through searching for customers:
1. In AMP, choose Titles --> Receive Titles, as shown in Figure 1.
The Receive Titles page appears.
2. Search for your vehicle by typing the last six digits of the VIN in the VIN Search box.
A list of vehicles with matching VINs appears.
3. Select the one you’d like from the list.
4. In the Owner field, enter a customer number or name (see Figure 2).
A list of matches appears.
5. Select the owner you’d like from the list.
6. To search for another owner that begins with the same numbers or letters, backspace as needed (see Figure 3).
You do not need to erase the entire entry — only the letters or numbers that aren’t shared by both search items.
7. Select the customer you want from the list that appears.
Tip: If you have a group of titles from the same customer group, you can leave the common words at the beginning and simply retype the letters where they are different. For example, if John Doe customer group has five dealerships, then you can type John Doe H to search for John Doe Honda, John Doe C to search for John Doe Chevrolet, and so on. You do not need to retype John Doe for each search.
