The Title Management function allows you to manage a vehicle’s title status. In some cases, the auction doesn’t possess the title for vehicles on the auction lot. Those vehicles fall into the Vehicles Without Titles tab. The following steps guide you through the process of managing vehicles without titles:
1. Go to AMP at https://www.adesaamp.com.
If you have the proper permissions, you see a Welcome screen (see Figure 1). You’re not asked for a password or username. If you don’t have permission for web-shared services and web applications, you see an error message.
2. From the menu, choose Titles --> Title Management (see Figure 2).
3. In the Title Management window that appears, click on the Vehicles Without Titles tab, as shown in Figure 3.
Depending on the type of missing/unreceived title you want to view, click on the Sold, Not Sold, or All tab:
Sold vehicles have sold, but the auction is still waiting on the title from the seller.
Not sold vehicles are in inventory, but the auction has yet to receive the titles.
All includes both Sold and Not sold vehicles.
4. If it isn’t already selected, click on the Sold tab (see Figure 4).
You see a list of the auction’s sold vehicles without titles (see Figure 5).
Tip: You can search for a specific vehicle by Seller. When searching by Seller, you can customize the column display so that you see only the information you’re interested in. To do so, click on the Display button and select the check boxes for the information you want to view (see Figure 6).
5. View any vehicle notes or add a note by hovering in the Title Notes column, as shown in Figure 7.
If you click on +Add a note, the Add title note window appears (see Figure 8). You can click on one of the notes shown or type your own note. Either way, remember to click on Save.
If you hover over the title note, the note appears (see Figure 9).
To view the notes in the Title notes window, click on the (1) note hyperlink (see Figure 10). (The number next to the word “note” indicates how many notes have been added.)
6. If you need to indicate that a vehicle doesn’t require a title, click on the Show ‘No Title Required’ vehicles check box (see Figure 11).
7. From the list of vehicles that appears, find the appropriate vehicle and select the value in the Title Required column to change it from Yes to No.
Tip: Add a note as to why it’s not required.
