You can edit the odometer in the Gate app. Currently, what you enter into the Gate app will update AMS, but it won’t update the inspection. Remember: When you edit the odometer in AMS, it also does not update the inspection. You will receive a new communication when this behavior changes. In the meantime, if you update mileage in AMS or in the Gate app, you must also update it in the inspection.
The following steps walk you through editing the odometer in the Gate app:
1. From the Gate app menu, click on Vehicle View (see Figure 1).
2. Scan the VIN or stock sticker or click on the pencil icon to manually enter or search for the VIN (see Figure 2).
If you prefer to manually enter the VIN, click on the pencil icon and then use the keyboard to enter the information. You can enter the full VIN or search for the VIN using its last six or eight digits (see Figure 3). When you’re done entering the VIN, click on Save.
3. In the list of results that appears, click on the vehicle you want to edit (see Figure 4) and then click on Done.
The vehicle page opens.
4. Click on the three dots in the right corner of the vehicle page (see Figure 5) to display the Available Actions menu.
5. Click on Edit Odometer.
The Edit odometer page appears.
6. Use the keyboard to enter the correct mileage and click on Save (see Figure 6) to update the mileage.
