When a vehicle is ready for sale, you can register it. The following steps guide you through the registration process:
1. From the Gate app menu, click on Register For Sale (see Figure 1).
2. Scan the VIN or stock sticker or click on the pencil icon to manually enter or search for the VIN (see Figure 2).
If you prefer to manually enter the VIN, click on the pencil icon and then use the keyboard to enter the information. You can enter the full VIN or search for the VIN using its last six or eight digits (see Figure 3). When you’re done entering the VIN, click on Save.
The Sale Type page appears.
3. Select the correct sale type and sale date (see Figure 4).
If the next available date isn’t the one you want, you can view all dates and select a different one.
The Available Lot Numbers page appears.
4. Click on Open to view the available lots (see Figure 5).
5. From the Lots page, click on the lot number you’d like.
You can select either Next Available or View All Spots (see Figure 6).
The Sale Registration page appears (see Figure 7).
6. (Optional) Manually enter a floor price.
7. (Optional) Click on Lights to set the lights.
If you’re not setting the lights, skip to Step 9.
8. Select the appropriate light for the unit.
Figure 8 shows selecting the red light. Your selection appears on the Sale Registration page.
9. On the Sale Registration page, verify all information and then click on Register Vehicle.
Your vehicle is registered for sale (see Figure 9).
