The Inspections Portal is designed to guide you through the process of preparing a vehicle for sale. Each queue in the workflow requires that certain tasks be completed before the vehicle moves on to the next phase in the process (see Figure 1). Using the workflow for all accounts will streamline your operation process.

Each auction decides who is responsible for monitoring each queue and performing the required tasks.

Tip: We recommend that the shopper and the account admin are the only users moving a vehicle through the workflow and that everything else is done with tags. That way, the shopper can move the vehicle from Suggested Repair to whichever queue it needs to be in. The account admin can control the other steps because they will be the ones sending estimates, obtaining approvals, and verifying completion.

The following list describes the seven main work queues:

  • Needs Attention: Vehicles in this queue require further attention.

  • Needs Inspection: Vehicles in this queue need Condition Reports (CRs) completed.

  • Suggested Repair: These vehicles have completed CRs that need reviewed for repairs by the auction. Vehicles automatically appear in this queue after the CR is complete.

  • Cert/Estimate: Vehicles in this queue need mechanical certifications or other information before the estimate can be sent to the customer. Vehicles need to be manually pushed to this queue.

  • Pending Approval: Vehicles waiting on customer approval are manually pushed to this holding queue.

  • Pending Repair: Vehicles waiting for approved work to be completed are manually pushed to this queue.

  • Sale Ready: Vehicles that have all the work completed and are ready for sale are manually pushed to this queue.
