Before ordering parts and completing repairs, customer approval must be acquired. This approval may come via email, Repair Quote, or the Inspections Portal. Vehicles requiring customer approval will appear in the Pending Approval queue of the Workflow.

Remember: Repair Quote auctions will need to have the Repair Approvals and Notes from Consignor email notification turned on in AutoIMS for clients who use Repair Quote (see Figure 1).

After the Repair Quote estimates are pushed to AutoIMS, they will appear on the Condition tab of the vehicle record (see Figure 2).

Customers may approve or decline repairs or services or request a requote. All approval type actions will be sent to you in one email (see Figure 3).

If the customer declines the repairs, make the proper announcements in AMS. In the Inspections Portal, move the vehicle to the Sale Ready queue.

If the customer approves the repair and your auction uses V-TRACE automation, go into the Inspections Portal, select A to indicate that the repair has been approved, and then move the Workflow to Pending Repair. All approved work will appear in V-TRACE.
