If you have unapproved a previously approved repair item in the Inspection, then V-TRACE displays the item in an unapproved state (see Figure 1). You can re-approve an unapproved damage repair item in the Inspections Portal.
Remember: If something is marked in V-TRACE as unapproved, the only way to get it approved is to go through the Inspections Portal; you can’t change it in V-TRACE. The following steps walk you through the re-approval process:
1. In the Inspections Portal, go to the vehicle in question.
2. Find the repair item you’d like to approve and mark it as approved by selecting the A check box (see Figure 2).
3. Make sure the vehicle is in Pending Repair.
If the vehicle is in any other work queue, move it to Pending Repair.
4. Click on the Submit CR button.
The Inspections Portal relays the information to V-TRACE. The item in V-TRACE no longer has the Unapproved box checked, which indicates that work needs to be completed (see Figure 3).
