A standard 99 fee is automatically charged to a vehicle when arbitration ends. If you have special pricing for any of your customers, the fee will need to be corrected (edited). You can edit the fee in the Charge window, or you can select No Charge during auto-post and manually post the correct fee amount in the Charge page. The following sections describe each method.

Edit the fee in the Charge window

The following steps walk you through the process of editing the fee in the Charge window:

1. Click on the Charge button in the toolbar (see Figure 1).

The Vehicle Charges window opens (see Figure 2).

2. Enter the last six numbers of the VIN.

If more than one vehicle ends with those numbers, the Select Vehicle window opens. If needed, select the vehicle you’d like (see Figure 3). The vehicle’s information appears in the Vehicle Charges window.

Remember: Always choose the seller with the correct sale date.

3. Select either the Seller or Buyer button, depending on which one you’re adjusting the fee for.

If you’re adjusting the fee for the seller, select Seller (see Figure 4). If you’re adjusting the fee for the buyer, select Buyer (see Figure 5).

4. Click on the fee you want to edit.

To edit a fee, you must have Charge Override permission. If you do, a pencil will appear next to your fee (see Figure 6).

5. Enter a new amount in the Charge Amount to field.

Tip: If you want to eliminate the fee altogether, don’t enter an amount in the Charge Amount to field.

6. Enter a comment in the Comment field.

For example, you may want to note something like “Special deal.”

7. When all edits are done, click on the Post Charge button in the toolbar (see Figure 7).

The updated fees and comment post (see Figure 8).

Manually post the correct fee amount in the Charge window

The following steps walk you through the process of manually posting the correct fee in the Charge window:

1. Click on the Charge button in the toolbar (see Figure 9).

The Vehicle Charges window opens (see Figure 10).

2. Enter the last six numbers of the VIN for the vehicle you’d like to enter the fee for.

If more than one vehicle ends with those numbers, the Select Vehicle window opens. If needed, select the vehicle you’d like (see Figure 11). The vehicle’s information appears in the Vehicle Charges window.

Remember: Always choose the seller with the correct sale date.

3. Select either the Seller or Buyer button, depending on which one you’re adjusting the fee for.

If you’re adjusting the fee for the seller, select Seller (see Figure 12). If you’re adjusting the fee for the buyer, select Buyer (see Figure 13).

4. Under Events, select the All Events button (see Figure 14).

5. From the Event Group drop-down list, select Vehicle Sale, as shown in Figure 15.

6. From the Event drop-down list, select Arbitration Fee, as shown in Figure 16.

The price will default to the Standard 99 price but can be changed to the desired amount and comments can be entered in the comment box.

7. When done, click on the Post Charge button in the toolbar (see Figure 17).

The fees and comment post.
