Late payment fees are automatically charged for certain vehicles. If a particular vehicle or vehicles for a specific customer account meets the inclusion criteria for automated late payment fees and you do not want them to be charged, you will need to manually change those settings.
If you want to manage the late payment fee for one particular vehicle and not an entire account, you can do so in the Inventory Management window. The following steps walk you through the process:
1. Choose Function→Vehicle→Inventory Management (see Figure 1).
The Vehicle Search – Inventory Management window appears (see Figure 2).
2. Search for the vehicle.
You can search by the vehicle’s full VIN, the last six digits of the VIN, its stock number, or a combination of two other fields of information. If more than one vehicle appears, you will need to verify that you have the correct vehicle.
The Inventory Management window appears for that vehicle, as shown in Figure 3.
If more than one vehicle has the same last six digits, you will need to select the vehicle you want from the list that appears.
3. Click on the Ownership tab.
4. In the Late Payment Fee area, click on the Charge Late Payment Fee check box to include or exclude a vehicle from a late payment fee (see Figure 4).
5. When you’re done making changes, click on the Save button in the toolbar (see Figure 5).
Your changes apply to only that vehicle.
