Working with links

Insert links into your text so people can navigate directly to the corresponding landing pages. You have the following options available.

Inserting links in the post text

Links in the post text are clickable on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Google Business Profile.

Important: On Instagram, links in the post text are not clickable. Therefore, add your links to your bio (e.g., via a tool like Linktree or Biolink, Adhook's own link-in-bio tool) and refer to it in the post text (e.g., via "Link in bio").

💡 If the link is too long, it will be automatically shortened by the platform. You can also use a link shortener to insert short links directly into your post text.

Using a link shortener and Biolink

Adhook also provides you with its own link-in-bio tool (Biolink). You can find the configuration for this under the "Post Publishing" tab for the respective brand. The link to your tool will then be biolink.ly/username, where you can set the username individually directly in the "Post Publishing" tab. To administer and manage your link-in-bio page, simply log in at biolink.ly/admin using your usual Adhook credentials.

💡 Using a custom domain? Would you like to use your own custom domain (e.g., social.mycompany.com)? Please contact Adhook Support.

Displaying a link preview

Optionally, you can also display the link as a link preview. This allows people to click on the image or title of the link preview and go directly to the target page. To do this, activate the "Display link preview" checkbox below the post text. Link previews are supported on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Google Business Profile.

Important: Link previews can only be customized (title, description & image) on LinkedIn and Google Business Profile. On Facebook and X, the link preview is automatically generated based on the data stored on the target page and cannot be changed.

ℹ️ In the post preview in Adhook, you can see what the link preview will look like in the post.

💡 You can also customize the link preview individually for each platform. To do this, activate the "Customize post per platform" checkbox. For example, you can enable a link preview on LinkedIn and work without a link preview on Facebook.
