Reporting is available for Ad Lightning's three main features and functions: Ad Quality, Data Collection, and Blocking. There are two report types for Ad Quality and Data Collection ("Custom" and "Network Reports"). Network Reports have the option to be built upon automatically when an ad is given a "critical" score.
Manually Create A Report
From the Ad Grid, select the ads you'd like to add to a report and select "Add to Report":
If you are reporting an ad we flagged in scans, you will be prompted to select a category ("Ad Quality" or Data Collection") and also report type ("Network" or "Custom"). If you are reporting an ad we blocked, you'll only have to choose the report type (ie "Network" or "Custom"). By selecting "Network", the ads are automatically added to your default network reporting setting. This will most likely be GAM Company if you have GAM enabled. If not, it will be Network. This can be adjusted if needed -- simply notify your Account Manager.
The second option is "Custom". Custom reporting allows you to add any combination of ads (regardless of network) to a single report. Selecting this will prompt you to either create a custom report name or choose from a previously created report.
Viewing Reports
Once a report is created, you can view it under the "Reports" tab. Reports created by network will have "Network Report" in the name. Custom reports will be displayed with the name you assigned. The "Report Type" column will signify the category you assigned.
The Report Grid will also indicate the following:
The date the report was first created
The date the report was last updated
The number of ads that have been reported
The number of as that have been resolved by the Network Partner
Because report links are always live, you can adjust & filter the number of ads in any report by changing the report date range in the action column. When you select a start date in the action column, the link will only display ads that were reported after that date. This field will only apply to the given row and is completely independent from the global navigation.
Report URL
The URL in the pink box will be the public URL which you may send to you partners. This will enable them to see all the details in the report without needing access to the UI.
Automatically Create a Report in Scans
By default, all critical ads flagged from scans can also be automatically added to the Network Report. This feature is enabled by default. To disable this feature, and manually add critical ads to reports, you can select the box in Settings > Notifications.
When this feature is enabled, all critical ads will automatically be added to their appropriate report. Notifications can also be configured to send alerts to your partners and/or internal team members. See more about notifications.
