What is Google Advertiser’s Verification?
Depending on the setup of your Google Ads account, this verification may be requested for your business or organization or your client's organization (if you work for an agency). Google will verify your identity and generate a disclosure on any ads you run, displaying your name and location.
Here are the Steps on How To Start Advertiser’s Verification for your Google Ads Account.
1. Open anyone of your Google Ads Accounts by clicking it URL,
2. On the top left corner of your Google ads dashboard, near the Google Ads logo, use the drop-down to switch your view to “All My Account”,
3. Once you have the manager account view, navigate to “Billings” on the navigation menu and click on “Advertiser's Verification”,
4. Lastly, click on the “Start Verification” button to start advertiser's Verification.
What are the requirements for Advertiser's Verification?
You may be required to provide 2 different types of documentation for advertiser verification: organization registration documents and a government-issued photo ID from an authorized representative. Acceptable documents include:
Registration documents:
Certificate of incorporation or registration
Extract from commercial register
NGO Constitution (If applicable)
An official letter including full name, address and date (Only for government departments and agencies)
2. Authorized representative’s government-issued photo ID:
Passport
Identification card
Driving license
Permanent residence card
Side Note: An authorized representative is the admin of your Google Ads account on the Manager Account Level. The person whose email address was used to create your AdPay account.
When submitting a government-issued photo ID, ensure that:
The ID is valid (not expired)
The image is in color, not black and white
The image is clear and well lit
The image should not be a photocopy
