Facebook & Google have over 3 billion active users, chances are your ideal customers are using the platform at this very moment. So how do you reach them in a scalable way that impacts your business?

With the Wix Retarget app of course!

Connecting with potential customers via ads is easier said than done, especially if you’re using the wrong images with your ads. The image you choose is one of the most important elements of your ad. Get that wrong, and you’ll assimilate into the crowd.

Below, we offer our best 5 tips for creating Facebook & Google ad images.

1. No More than 20% Text Facebook Rule ? Not exactly

For years, Facebook had been rejecting ads if they contained more than 20% text. Recently, however, they made a change to how they deal with text on images. They currently rate ads as Okay (little or no text), Low, Medium, or High level of text usage.

Facebook prefers ad images that have little to no text, but you can still get your ad approved if it contains some. However, it’s important to ask yourself what the purpose behind the text is in the first place.

2. colors:

The colors of your image should be related to your logo and brand! Many businesses post images regardless of the colors that characterize their brand, thus detaching the context for the reader and making their ads less memorable.

3. Images of your product or service:

If you are selling a product or service, show it!

Your customers are curious but also suspicious, and there is no good as an image of your product to break the ice, photograph your product and show its innovation and the solution it offers. If you sell a service, emphasize it within the image.

4. Logo:

Your logo is your face in everything related to your business, use it in your images. Images displayed with a logo are more reliable.

5. Size:

The size of the image is very important. Facebook and Google are very strict about the content of ads and particularly when it comes to the type of images they present. Make sure to upload a sharp and high quality images, and above all, in the right proportion.

The recommended image size for a campaign on Google Ad is: 958 × 688 and on Facebook is:1200X 628. Make sure that the size of your image you upload is right, otherwise it will delay your campaign approval.
