How to Connect Your Device Using Starlink

Connect any Aethair device to Starlink WiFi

Connecting your Aethair device to a Starlink network ensures reliable and fast data transmission for your air quality monitoring needs. Follow these steps to set up your device with Starlink:

Step 1: Set Up Your Starlink Network

To set up your Starlink Network, please follow their instructions at https://www.starlink.com/setup, general instructions can be found below:

  1. Install the Starlink hardware following the instructions provided by Starlink.

  2. Ensure the satellite dish has a clear view of the sky for optimal connectivity.

  3. Connect the Starlink router to power and wait for it to establish a connection. This process may take a few minutes.

  4. Once connected, access the Starlink Wi-Fi network using a device such as a phone, tablet, or laptop.

  5. Open the Starlink app to verify the network is online and operational.

Step 2: Configure Your Aethair Device

  1. Power on your Aethair device.

  2. Access the device's configuration via Environet:

    • Select your device from the Devices List

    • Click Edit in the top left of the monitoring page.

  3. Scroll down to the Connectivity settings.

  4. Enter/Select your Starlink WiFi SSID.

  5. Enter your Starlink WiFi password.

  6. Scroll to the bottom of that section and select Save.

Step 3: Verify Connection

  1. Once connected, the Aethair device LED will illuminate solid blue, indicating an established connection. It may take a few minutes for the new configuration settings to be pushed to your device.

  2. Open the monitoring page for your device on Environet. Let the device report several data points over 5–10 minutes to confirm a stable connection.



Troubleshooting

If the connection fails:

  • Double-check your Starlink network credentials for accuracy.

  • Ensure the Starlink router is functioning properly by testing with another device.

  • Restart both the Starlink router and the Aethair device to refresh their configurations.
