Updated over 2 weeks ago

A Quick Bill is a streamlined invoicing tool within CPACharge designed for speed and simplicity. It allows you to bypass the full billing workflow and send a direct payment request to a client for a specific dollar amount.

πŸš€ How to Send a Quick Bill

Sending a Quick Bill is the fastest way to get paid when you don't need to generate a full, itemized invoice from scratch.

  1. Initiate: Click the Send Quick Bill button located in the top right corner of your dashboard.

  2. Required Details: Fill in the three mandatory fields:

    • Client Email: Where the invoice link will be sent.

    • Payment Amount: The specific dollar amount you are requesting.

    • Deposit Account: Choose which bank account the funds should settle into.

  3. Optional Fields: You can add internal notes or reference numbers for your records, though these can be left blank.

  4. Attachments:

    • Click Choose File to attach supporting documentation (e.g., a signed engagement letter or a simple PDF summary).

    • You can attach multiple files as long as the total size is under 10 MB.

  5. Finalize: Review the details and click Send.

πŸ› οΈ Managing Sent Quick Bills

Once a Quick Bill is sent, you can track and manage it from the Invoices tab on the left-hand sidebar.

1. Viewing and Editing

Select a specific bill from the Invoices overview list to open its details. From here, you can:

  • Resend: Send the email again if the client lost the original link.

  • Edit: Update the amount or client details if changes are needed after the fact.

  • Mark as Paid: Manually record a payment if the client pays via check or cash.

2. Permissions and Deletion

  • Standard Users: Can create, send, and view bills.

  • Owners and Admins: Have the exclusive ability to delete a Quick Bill entirely from the system.
