How do I research an athlete before investing

Z
Written by Zach Kurtz

Begin with the complete Offering Circular and subscription agreement for the applicable Series. The Offering Circular controls over athlete profiles, platform summaries, news, statistics, projections, and third-party commentary.

Review at least:

  • the Series structure and the Units being offered;

  • the Brand Advisory Agreement and defined Brand Amounts;

  • risk factors, conflicts, fees, expenses, reserves, and use of proceeds;

  • financial information, assumptions, and forward-looking-statement caution;

  • distribution provisions and Manager discretion;

  • transfer restrictions and the absence of a current public trading market; and

  • investor eligibility, investment limits, jurisdiction, and subscription acceptance.

Research the athlete independently

Do your own research into the athlete rather than relying only on Agentiq’s profile, valuation, projections, or marketing materials. Relevant factors may include:

  • age, position, and career stage;

  • historical and recent performance;

  • advanced analytics and position-specific metrics;

  • playing time, role, usage, availability, and durability;

  • injury history and health-related uncertainty;

  • development trajectory and potential performance ranges;

  • contract status, compensation structure, and comparable players;

  • team, league, market, and salary-cap conditions; and

  • other sport-specific, financial, legal, and reputational variables.

Agentiq’s valuation and projection team includes former MLB front-office executives and data scientists who developed a proprietary AI/ML model to estimate player success, career outcomes, projected earnings, and player NPV across a range of scenarios. The model evaluates more than 100 variables, including the factors above, and supplements its outputs with professional sports and financial judgment.

These inputs may affect Agentiq’s player NPV analysis, the initial offering price, and any later estimated Unit value. Model relationships, weightings, data, and assumptions can change as new information becomes available. Actual outcomes may differ materially from every modeled scenario, which is why investors should conduct independent research rather than relying on the model alone.

Independent sports, contract, statistical, and news sources may provide useful context, but they may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unrelated to the Series’s contractual rights. An athlete’s success, endorsement activity, popularity, or a single career event does not assure a specific valuation, Brand Amounts, distributions, returns, or liquidity.

The applicable Offering Circular controls the final offering price, methodology, assumptions, conflicts, and risk factors. SEC qualification is not approval, recommendation, endorsement, verification of a valuation, or a suitability determination. Consider consulting qualified financial, legal, and tax professionals. Investors may lose their entire investment.
