Behavioral Audience

This guide will help you effectively create and manage behavioral audiences in the Agility Platform.

Updated over 6 months ago

A behavioral audience is a dynamically created group of users categorized based on their specific actions and patterns of interaction across various digital touch points. This audience segmentation leverages collected data such as website visits, product interactions, content consumption, and transaction history to form a detailed profile of user behavior.

Steps to Create a Behavioral Audience

  1. Access the Audience Tab

    • Navigate to the Audience tab located on the left-hand side of your screen.

  2. Create a New Audience

    • Click the + Audience button.

    • Select Behavioral as the Audience Type.

    • Enter a name and description for your audience.

    • Click Create to proceed.

  3. Define Behavioral Segments

    • Click + Behavior to add your first audience behavior.

    • Use the search bar to enter the behavior you want to target.

    • After clicking Search, the system will generate a group of relevant segments based on your search.

  4. Select Behavioral Options

    • Review the auto-generated segments.

    • Select any segments based on your preferences.
Tip: All behaviors are assigned a relevance percentage in relation to the searched behavior. You can use the relevance scale at the top of the screen to refine your group.

    • Click Add Group once you've selected the desired segments.

  5. Finalize and Generate Your Audience

    • After adding a behavior, you can either:

      • Add additional behaviors by clicking + Behavior, or

      • Finalize by clicking Activate Audience.

    • After clicking Activate Audience, the audience will then be available for application to any ad group of your choice.

*Please Note: Due to the broad scope of behavioral audiences, we strongly recommend applying geographic refinements within the ad group's options section to narrow your targeting and achieve better results.
