Starting August 13, 2025, X (Twitter) access will become a paid add-on, with two tiers to better reflect the premium costs associated with X (Twitter)'s API access.

Depending on your subscription plan with Agorapulse, you can see how this change affects you below:


Why has there been a change to the X add-on price?

Recently, X (Twitter) drastically increased the costs to access their API without much room for negotiation. In order for Agorapulse to continue delivering the quality and service you expect from us, we are making a necessary update to our pricing. The X (Twitter) integration will become a paid add-on with two flexible options for you.

This change allows us to:

  • Continue providing reliable X (Twitter) social media management features (Publishing, Inbox, Reports)

  • Offer flexible options based on your actual usage needs

  • Maintain the quality of service you expect from Agorapulse


What are the new X (Twitter) access tiers?

X (Twitter) Lite

  • Features: Publishing only

  • Price: $/€29 per month per X (Twitter) profile

  • Best for: Users who only need to schedule and publish content to X (Twitter)

X (Twitter) Plus

  • Features: Publishing, Inbox management, and Analytics

  • Price: $/€69 per month for each X (Twitter) profile

  • Best for: Users who need complete X (Twitter) management including engagement and performance tracking


How will this change affect clients on a self-service subscription plan?

For clients on a non-custom plan (paying with a credit card or PayPal), billing will be automatically adjusted based on your X (Twitter) profiles connected on August 13, 2025. Additional scenarios for self service clients can be found below:

Scenario 1: You do not have X (Twitter) social profiles connected.

  • No subscription change will happen on your side

  • You can still connect X (Twitter) profiles any time if needed: in that case you will be charged for as many X (Twitter) profiles connected starting August 13, 2025.

Scenario 2: You currently use X (Twitter) for Publishing only.

  • We will add X (Twitter) Lite add-on at $/€29 per connected X profile per month as of August 13, 2025.

  • You will maintain all your current publishing capabilities

Scenario 3: You have already subscribed to X (Twitter) Plus add-on (including all X features).

  • Your add-on will be updated at $/€69 per connected profile per month as of August 13, 2025.

  • You will maintain all X Plus features, including: publishing, inbox management, and analytics.

Scenario 4: Some of your X (Twitter) profiles have the X Plus add-on, and others do not.

  • X profiles with X (Twitter) Plus add-on will be upgraded at $/€69 per profile per month.

  • X profiles used for publishing only will have X (Twitter) Lite add-on added at $/€29 per profile per month

  • Each profile will be billed according to its current usage level.

Important Timeline for Self-Service Clients

Now through August 12, 2025:

  • Review your connected X (Twitter) profiles

  • Decide which profiles you want to keep connected based on the value they bring to your social media strategy

  • Remove any X profiles where you do not see value in the paid X (Twitter) features

August 13, 2025:

  • Automatic billing adjustments take effect

  • New X (Twitter) access tiers become active

How can I manage my connected X (Twitter) profiles?

To review and manage your connected X (Twitter) profiles:

  1. Click on the avatar icon on the bottom left of the screen

  2. Select Organization settings

  3. Choose the Social profiles & tokens sub-menu

  4. View all connected X (Twitter) profiles

To remove an X (Twitter) profile from the Social profiles & tokens sub-menu:

  1. Select the (...) option next to the relevant profile

  2. Choose Remove social profile

  3. Click Remove profile in the pop-up

Note: You need Organization Owner or Manager permissions to connect or disconnect social media profiles.

Q: Can I disconnect my X (Twitter) profiles if I do not want to pay for them?

A: Yes, you can disconnect your X (Twitter) profiles anytime before August 12 if you do not see value in the paid X (Twitter) features.

Q: Can I reconnect X (Twitter) profiles after August 13?

A: Absolutely! You can connect X (Twitter) profiles anytime after August 13, and the appropriate tier pricing will be applied.

Q: What if I only need X (Twitter) for some profiles?

A: The pricing is per connected profile, so you only pay for the X (Twitter) profiles you actually connect to Agorapulse.

Q: How will billing work for annual subscribers?

A: For customers on annual billing cycles, any X (Twitter) add-on charges will be prorated based on your remaining subscription period and charged immediately.

Q: How will the X (Twitter) add-on charges be processed?

A: Charges will be automatically processed using your existing payment method (Credit Card or PayPal). Please ensure your card/account has sufficient funds available.

Q: Will my current X (Twitter) functionality change?

A: No, all current features and functionality will remain exactly the same. Only the pricing structure is changing.

How will this change affect clients on a Custom subscription plan or clients who pay by wire transfer?

The following applies to customers on yearly Custom plans or those paying by wire transfer. The X pricing changes will not take effect on August 13, 2025, but rather at your next subscription renewal:

  • Your current plan and pricing will remain unchanged until your subscription renewal date

  • X (Twitter) access tiers (Lite and Plus) will be added to your plan at renewal based on your connected profiles at that time

  • New pricing will be integrated into your renewed plan quote

Important Timeline for Custom Plan and Wire Transfer Clients

Between now and your renewal date:

  • Review your connected X (Twitter) profiles

  • Determine which profiles provide value for your social media strategy

  • Disconnect any profiles where you do not see value in the paid Twitter/X features

At your renewal date:

  • Your plan will be updated to include X (Twitter) access pricing

  • Billing will reflect the new structure based on your connected profiles

How will this change affect clients on a free trial?

Your trial experience remains completely unchanged. You can continue testing all X (Twitter) features as normal until your trial ends, regardless of the August 13th update.

What will happen after I subscribe?

If you subscribe before August 13, 2025:

  • No X (Twitter) profiles connected: No impact on your subscription

  • X (Twitter) profiles connected for publishing only: X (Twitter) Lite will be automatically activated at $/€29/month per connected profile

  • X (Twitter) profile with X (Twitter) Plus add-on purchased: The pricing will update to $/€69/month per profiles with the add-on

If you subscribe on or after August 13, 2025:

  • You will decide during the subscription process which X (Twitter) add-ons you want to activate

  • Choose X (Twitter) Lite ($/€29/month) for publishing only

  • Choose X (Twitter) Plus ($/€69/month) for publishing, inbox management, and analytics

  • You can select different tiers for different profiles based on your needs
