Purchase Records (Mob)

Record a livestock purchase and view total livestock purchases across your operation.

Recording a livestock purchase is easy. When adding livestock, set the Origin to Purchased. Be sure to check out our article on how to Add Livestock  if you want to learn more about adding livestock.

Fill out purchase details such as the Purchase date, Vendor, NVD number and Price. When you have finished, press Save.


Web App

Click on the Farm Map button in the left navigational bar.

Click the green Add button in the top left.

Select Mob and then select the species you wish to add. Select Purchase from the pop up menu.

Alternatively, add a new mob through the livestock tab and select Purchase.

From there, add all the relevant details to create the mob. At the bottom of the page, you'll see the Origin option. The origin will be automatically listed as Purchased, click Add Purchase, to create a purchase record that flows into the purchase report.

Fill out purchase details such as the Purchase date, Vendor, NVD number, and Price relating to the purchase. When you have finished, press Save.

You can view all your purchase records in the Purchase Report on the Web App. To learn more about this see our article here.

Updating Origin Details on an existing Mob

If the mob has already been created but the origin is incorrect or no purchase record was created against the mob, follow the following steps to sort:

  1. Find the exact mob in the Mob list (in the Livestock Tab).

  2. Go to History and scroll to the bottom, until you find the "Created" record.

  3. Select Review on the "Created" record.

  4. Select Edit on the "Details" section.

  5. Scroll down to the Origin section to update mob origin and/or add a Purchase record.

  6. Press Save
