Web App

To create a sale record on the Web App go to Livestock and navigate to the Individuals list. This will show a full list of all your individual animals currently in AgriWebb.

Click on the Add records button.

Select between Sheep or Cattle for this record. Click on Sale from the records list.

Sell & Transfer Livestock To Other AgriWebb Accounts

You can choose to create a transfer record alongside this sale:

  • A basic transfer will just record the livestock leaving the farm

  • A transfer between farms will create a transfer record for another farm on your AgriWebb account OR allow you to transfer to another user's AgriWebb account for example if you are selling to another AgriWebb user.

To transfer to another user's account, both parties need to accept user invites for the respective accounts and grant the 'Transfer Only' user role. This will allow you to see the respective farm to transfer the animals to within the Transfer record.

For more details on transfers, take a read of this article.

Editing & Deleting Sale Records

Sales records can be easily accessed and edited on the mobile app by tapping Menu > Livestock Movements > Sales. They can also be edited and deleted on the web by heading to the Sales Report and viewing the record in question.

Uploading your Carcass/Kill Data

Please note this is only available for those on Performance Plans.

Carcass data can be entered as you create your sales records. You can add the carcass data at the time of the sale, or edit the record afterwards from your activity to add it in at a later stage.

When in the sale record, scroll down to the Add Carcass Data section, select the green button and the fields will expand.

You can either drag and drop your CSV file into the box available or choose a file from your computer directory.

A .csv (comma-separated values) file is a simplified format of an Excel spreadsheet, widely used for importing or exporting data in bulk. In AgriWebb, .csv files are employed to upload livestock data, including kill sheets and other bulk record updates.

Your CSV file must have at least one animal identifier, either EID or VID. You must also define a Kill Date. The other available information that you can choose to upload includes:

  • Plant ID

  • Plant Name

  • Supplier

  • Net Carcass Weight

  • Price Per Weight

  • Price Per Head

  • Batch Number

  • Kill Number

  • Marbling Score Value

Map the relevant fields from the file using the importer window and proceed through the steps hitting Next and then Save to upload.

Alternatively, you can manually add data to animals by entering the details into the associated fields in the table that appears below where you upload the file.

Common Errors

  1. Issues Uploading Kill Sheets:

    • Sale records for the animals must be created in AgriWebb.

    • Ensure animals are selected within the Sale record using 'Select animals > Import Selection from CSV'.

    • Upload the kill sheet CSV containing the carcass data after verifying matches.

  2. Problems with the Sale Date Field:

    • Avoid blank rows under column headings in the CSV file.

    • Confirm that all animals in the management group are selected; some interfaces may display limited data per page.

Best practices when uploading a CSV file

  • Review CSV files for errors like blank rows or improper formatting before uploading.

  • Ensure all related sale records are accurate and updated.

Analysis of the Carcass Data

To view the results of the carcass data in better detail once the animals have been sold, head to the Lifetime animal performance report. You can filter on carcass data columns from there.

Sale Record Reports

Sales reports can be viewed from the Web app. Simply go to Reports > Individuals > Sale Records. For more information on this see Individual Sales Report.

Data from Sale Records will also appear in other reports such as lifetime animal performance reports and cost of production.
