Translate your store with pro translation engines

After the app installation, you can translate content with one pro translation engine and get higher quality translations (instead of automatic translation where the app uses seven machine translation engines).

LangShop integrates with Google and DeepL translation engines. For this, you need to have a paid subscription and a generated API key in your account that you can enable in LangShop Settings > Translation engines.

Customize language & currency switcher

By default, LangShop adds language and currency switcher to your storefront (for all the themes). However, all the elements are visible to Admin-only or store owners.

Before publishing the button with default styles, you can adapt it to your store design, change colors, position, size, font, text in the app settings, and change the status to Published afterward.

Steps:

  1. From your LangShop admin, go to Settings > Switchers.

  2. At the left-side panel, find Language & currency switcher.

    language and currency switcher

If there are 2 and more Markets in your store, youโ€™ll see Language & country switcher. Itโ€™s because the multi currency feature is available for stores with only one Market.

  3. Tap Customize.

  4. Apply new changes.

  5. Click Save.

Translate third-party apps

LangShop continues its integration with third-party apps on Shopify to be able to translate apps content. You can check the list of currently available apps in the Apps section. For this go to Integrations.

If you can't find the app in the Apps section, you can always translate third-party apps content using dynamic translation. The logic of the dynamic translation feature lies in finding and replacing texts into different languages.

Translate static text, images & tags

You will need to create a LangShop theme if you have static text which inserts directly in the theme code, sort your inventory with tags, and want to change images for every language version in your online store.

Shopify doesn't have native functionality to translate tags, images, and static text in the original theme.

Steps:

  1. From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Themes.

  2. Select a theme.

  3. Click on Actions > Duplicate Theme.

  4. In the dialog window, click Create to confirm the action.
