LangShop translates locale (.json) files into multiple languages, including checkout and system messages. If your theme supports a multi-language feature, you can edit locale files in the theme editor directly. For the default language, you can edit files in the language editor too.

Steps:

  1. From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Themes

  2. Select a theme.

  3. Click Translate button next to Storefront Components.

  4. Select language into which you want to translate store components.

  5. Click Translate.

6. In the dialog window, select Standard engine.
The overwrite existing translations checkbox gives you the ability to translate texts again. Please note that this task will change your previous translations, and you can't recover this action.

7. Click Translate.

Please wait for the task to complete in the background server. The time depends on the amount of data and the number of languages you manage in your Shopify store.

PRO translate store components πŸ‡¦πŸ‡½

Another method to translate store components is to use one of the pro translation engines.

Steps:

  1. From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Themes.

  2. Select a theme.

  3. Click Translate button next to Storefront Components.

  4. Tap Translate.

  5. Select languages into which you want to translate store components.

  6. In the dialog window choose a pro engine (Google Translation or DeepL Pro).
    The overwrite existing translations checkbox gives you the ability to translate texts again. Please note that this task will change your previous translations, and you can't recover this action.

  7. Click Translate.

Order store components translations πŸ‡§πŸ‡§

You can also order translations from TextMaster, the professional translation agency, where native speakers will be in charge of translating the store's content.

Steps:

  1. From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Themes.

  2. Select a theme.

  3. Click Translate button next to Storefront Components.

  4. Select components.

  5. Click More actions > Add to Cart (agency translation).

    6. Select languages you want to translate to.

If you want to translate a few items or recently added ones, you can select locales manually by checking the boxes and then choose the best translation method for your multilingual store.
