Where do I get an activation key?

What is an activation key and where can you find it

Updated over 3 months ago

Aide is usually provided by an organisation to patients and users free of charge, or is purchased via an organisation - and they will send an activation key that is entered after first creating an account.

An activation key will be made up of 4 letters - for example - "GTWP". Once entered, the app will let you confirm that you were invited by that organisation, and then continue setting up your profile and health plan.

What if I already have an account, but its requesting an activation key?

If you are an existing user of Aide, and it is suddenly requesting an activation key, it could be that you have 'logged in' using a different method. For example, you originally used your mobile phone number, but selected Apple Sign In or Google Sign In.

This starts creating a new account, which you don't need.

The steps to resolve this are:

1. Tap 'Where is my key?'

2. Tap 'Sign out'

3. Log in again, but using your original method

What if I haven't been given an activation key?

It's worth double checking the SMS message or email you were given (if you have one) that originally invited you to use Aide, as typically that is where it will be provided.

If you haven't been provided one - you can either contact the organisation that originally invited you, or you purchased from, and request they give one to you.

Alternatively, contact Aide on our support channels providing your details, and those of the organisation so we can investigate.

If you have downloaded Aide from the App Store or Play Store without an activation key - unfortunately you won't be able to use Aide yet.
