How to Generate Documents?

We support two ways for generating documents with AI on our platform.

Method #1 - Generate on aidocmaker.com

You can generate documents directly on aidocmaker.com through our web-app:

Here, you can provide context information to our AI to generate your document.

Background: this is where you can enter helpful information like who the intended audience is, who are you and why you are writing this document. It helps the AI better understand why this document is being created, and better optimize your document for the intended audience.

Instructions: this is where you provide instructions on what kind of document you want, and what sort of content you want to see in your document. For example, you might ask the AI for a 5 page English summary report based on a provided financial report document.

Optimize: this button asks the AI to optimize the instructions for you, and is helpful when you are unsure what instructions to provide. But its less useful if you already have a working instruction prompt that you already use regularly.

Tips & Tricks

  • Generally speaking, providing more context to the AI tends to generate higher quality documents. That's because it helps remove guess-work from the AI, and allows it to focus on writing the content.

  • When entering info for "Background", we highly recommend you include important facts and details relevant for your document. Copy and pasting entire pages from other sources is fine, the AI will read it and figure out which sections are relevant for your document.

  • When entering info for "Instructions", we highly recommend you mention how many pages or slides you want in your document.

Prompting Best Practices

Below are recommendations on prompting best practices when creating documents.

  • We highly recommend including source materials, such as PDFs or text extracts, when creating a documents on aidocmaker.com or through ChatGPT.

  • When asking for a document, try to provide as much context as possible on the document and the content it should contain. This reduces guessing from the AI, and allows it to focus on following your instructions.

  • AI tends to have a harder time following instructions when asked to create documents with 25+ pages or slides. If possible, it would be better to split the task into 2 separate document creation requests.
