Written by Joelly See Toh

Overview

You can set the expiration period for the page (pre check-in URL) that guests use for pre check-in or check-in, determining how long it remains valid after checkout.

⚠️To use this feature, a subscription to ”Check-in Pro” or ”Check-in Premium” is required.

Detail

How to set it up

From the Admin ConsoleProperty List → select the target property → Check-in SettingsCommon Settings, enable the Check-in URL Expiration setting, and specify the number of days after checkout when the URL will become invalid.

When a new property is created, this setting is enabled by default with an expiration period of 1 day.

Checkout and Payment Availability Period

The period during which guests can check out and make a payment at check-out (when payment is enabled) depends on the Check-in URL Expiration Period setting.

When the Expiration Period Is Set to "1 Day"

The Check-in URL remains valid until 11:59 PM on the check-out date.

The Check-out button remains visible even after the scheduled check-out time has passed. However, since the URL expires at 11:59 PM on the check-out date, guests can no longer complete the check-out process after that time.

While the check-out function is available, guests can also make a payment through the check-out flow.

Example: If the scheduled check-out time is 11:00 AM
→ Check-out and payment are available until 11:59 PM on the same day.

When the Expiration Period Is Set to "2 Days or More"

Since the URL remains valid after the check-out date, the Check-out button can be used for up to 24 hours after the scheduled check-out time.

As long as guests can proceed to the check-out flow from the Check-out button, they can also make a payment at check-out.

Example: If the scheduled check-out time is 11:00 AM
→ Check-out and payment are available until 11:00 AM the following day.

💡 About the Display Period of the Check-out Button

Even if the Check-in URL Expiration Period is set to more than 2 days, the Check-out button is displayed for a maximum of 24 hours after the scheduled check-out time.

Once the Check-out button is no longer displayed, guests cannot proceed to the check-out flow and therefore can no longer make a payment at check-out.
