Overview

This explains how to add an IoT account via the [Admin Console] → [IoT Lock] → [Add New IoT Account] button.

Details

Steps to add an IoT lock

Please refer to the following video for instructions on how to add an IoT lock:

Actions taken when a guest unlocks the door for the first time.

For RemoteLock only, when a guest unlocks the door, the reservation’s check-in status is automatically changed to “Checked-in.”

(This feature is not supported by other IoT locks.)

PIN Registration Limits

In RemoteLOCK, the number of PINs that can be registered is limited based on your pricing plan:

  • Business Standard: 1,500 PINs (per account)

  • Business Standard Plus: 5,000 PINs (per account)

⚠️ This limit applies to the entire account, not per RemoteLOCK device.
Please choose your plan by considering the total number of RemoteLOCK devices across your properties and the expected number of future reservations.

If you encounter errors like the one below, please consider upgrading to Business Standard Plus.

Limitations on PIN Synchronization

In addition to the account-level limits mentioned above, there are also limits on the number of PINs that can be synchronized per device:

  • Standard RemoteLOCK: up to 3,000 PINs

  • TOBIRA: up to 10,000 PINs

Under normal operations, a single RemoteLOCK device will not exceed 3,000 PINs.
However, if RemoteLOCK is used as a shared/common door, you should carefully consider whether the number of PINs might exceed this limit.

Important Example

For instance, under the Business Standard Plus plan, you can issue up to 5,000 PINs per account. However, if a RemoteLOCK device is set as a shared door, it can only sync up to 3,000 PINs. This means that if the number of PINs exceeds 3,000 and a last-minute reservation is made, there is a risk that PIN synchronization to the shared door may fail.

Recommended Operation

If you expect the number of PINs to exceed 3,000 when using a standard RemoteLOCK as a shared door, please operate it using a fixed PIN instead.

Supported Devices

This feature supports various models such as 500i / 700i / 9j / 9j-Q.

Both PIN code unlocking and QR code unlocking methods are supported.

* Please note that specifications may vary for new models added in the future.

QR Code Support

QR code-enabled models (e.g., 9j-Q) are also supported.

A QR code will be displayed on the guest screen, allowing guests to unlock the device.
