An external shipping label is a tracking label that was created outside of our system but can still be added for visibility and management. Instead of generating the shipment within the Airpals platform, the label is created directly through a carrier, such as FedEx, or another shipping tool.
This feature allows you to bring those shipments into the Airpals system by simply entering their tracking numbers. Once added, you can track them alongside your other shipments in the Track Orders page, keeping everything centralized and easy to manage.
External shipping labels are especially useful when working with multiple carriers or when shipments are created by different teams, vendors, or locations. Rather than losing visibility, you can import those tracking IDs and monitor their progress in real time in a single page.
It’s important to note that adding an external shipping label does not automatically schedule a pickup. This step only registers the shipment in our system. If you need a carrier to pick it up, you’ll still need to go through the pickup scheduling process separately.
By using external shipping labels, you gain better organization, improved tracking, and a more streamlined shipping workflow, all within a single working space.
