Why I am being charged a parking fee?

We understand that extra fees are never ideal, and we want to assure you that we strive to minimize them whenever possible.

At Airpals, we take a people-first approach. Driving full-time in a bustling city like New York is a demanding and stressful job. Drivers must navigate heavy traffic, constant noise, road rage from other drivers, and the pressures of double parking. It’s a role that carries significant responsibility, and we prioritize the safety and well-being of pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and all other road users.

We aim to provide the most cost-effective solutions for our customers. However, street parking in New York is extremely limited. While our drivers double park only when it is safe for pedestrians and cyclists and the risk of receiving a ticket is low, there are times when we have no choice but to use private parking. This is something we try to avoid as much as possible since it requires additional time and labor to locate parking, park, and walk back and forth from the location. For smaller deliveries, we try to use bikers or foot messengers, but that’s not always possible.

To help reduce parking related fees, we encourage you to include a note in the pick-up and drop-off instructions specifying that someone will be available to meet the driver curbside.

Quick heads-up: any parking fees or tolls will include a small transaction fee.
