Optimize Your Workflow: Choose Where to Store Test Cases with AI Test Case Generator for Jira
Updated over a week ago

Setting up the AI Test Case Generator for Jira includes an automatic configuration where we create a project named "AI Generated Test Cases [AITEST]" to store your generated test cases. However, we understand that one size does not fit all.

Here’s how you can customize the storage location for your test cases:

  1. Access AI Test Case Generator - Project Settings: Find this option under the 'Apps' section in the left navigation menu of your project.

  2. Choose Your Storage Option:

  • Separate Project: You can create a new project specifically for storing test cases. This is our default and recommended option because it simplifies management and enhances clarity, especially when creating regression suites or test suites.

  • Same Project: Alternatively, you can store test cases in the same project as your user stories, however, it's not recommended as your swim lanes get crowded quickly with test cases.

If you’re satisfied with the preconfigured setup, no action is needed. Most of our users prefer to stick with the default for its simplicity and ease of management.

Why a Separate Project? Storing test cases separately makes them easier to manage and report on in the future. This organization helps teams efficiently handle various testing strategies and cycles and maintains clearer oversight of test outcomes.

However, the choice is yours, and flexibility is key in adapting our tool to fit your needs.

Can't wait to dive in? If you’re eager to start leveraging these benefits right away, access our On-Boarding Articles and Technical Guides for the AI Test Case Generator for Jira.

Happy testing! Sharing your experiences helps us all grow: Stay updated with AI Test Case Generator.
