How to Start Generating Test Cases with AI Test Case Generator for Jira, Xray and Zephyr

Here’s how to create your first test case:

  1. Prepare your issue: Ensure your Jira issue includes a title and a description that resembles a user story or feature description. Don’t worry about writing style or structure; our AI handles that.

  2. Activate the generator: Click the app actions grey cog icon near the title of the issue to expand the menu and select 'AI Test Case Generator'.

  3. Generate your test cases: Once activated, expand the AI Test Case Generator app in the right panel in the issue and click the blue 'Generate Test Cases' button.

  4. Before generating test cases: You can choose to preview the test cases by selecting 'Check and select test cases before creating'.

In just a short period, you’ll see the progress of the test cases being generated, and they will appear in a preview modal for you to choose which tests to generate and save.

A comprehensive list of tests will then appear in the footer of the issue linked directly to the original user story. This ensures excellent traceability and ease of reporting later on.
​

Bonus: By default, these test cases are stored in a separate project within Jira, keeping everything organized and accessible.
