If there’s no sell option on an investment you’re trying to sell, it may be that you currently have an active order for this stock. You’ll need to cancel this active order before you’re able to sell.
As long as your order isn't currently being executed, you can cancel it on the ‘Active orders’ page of your account. You can also edit it by clicking ‘Cancel and rebook’.
Or you can cancel your order on our mobile app – just swipe it within the ‘Active orders’ screen.
Once the order is cancelled, you should see the sell option appear.
If you don’t have any active orders, it may be that the investment in your account has not settled yet. Share purchases can take 1-3 working days to settle, and fund orders can take 3-5.
If you’ve recently transferred in this investment, you’ll need to wait for the transfer settlement to complete to sell. You can email transfersin@ajbell.co.uk to get an update on the settlement.
