Most direct debits set up from your registered bank account can be cancelled or edited via the app. Simply head to the 'More' tab in your app, then 'manage payments' and then select 'regular payments'. You then need to select the account you'd like to cancel or edit the direct debit for.
There are certain types of direct debits you won’t be able to cancel or edit in this way:
Employer contributions will need to be cancelled or edited by emailing customercontributions@ajbell.co.uk with your AJ Bell account number. Alternatively, your employer can cancel the direct debit with their bank directly, and the bank will advise us of the cancellation.
A direct debit for a junior account paid by someone other than the registered contact can only be cancelled or edited if you send us a secure message.
Just so you know, if you cancel a direct debit in the last two working days of month, the next month's payment may still go through. For example, if you cancelled a direct debit on 31 May, the June payment may still be processed, meaning your cancellation wouldn't apply until July.
