Many subjects include pre-made cumulative, diagnostic, and formative assessments. This article will outline a few different ways to assign these exams.
How to assign an entire assessment:
Navigate to your subject and find the Assessments tab.
Find your desired assessment.
Click on the three dots (or “kabobs”) next to the assessment title.
[Pro-tip]: Ensure you’ve selected the kabob next to the assessment title, not one of the sections below.
Click Assign All. This action will assign all of the questions in the assessment.
How to Smart Assign an assessment:
Smart Assign allows you to assign a set number of random questions from within an assessment.
Navigate to your subject and find the Assessments tab.
Click on the three dots (or “kabobs”) next to the assessment title.
[Pro-tip]: Ensure you’ve selected the kabob next to the assessment title, not one of the sections below.
Click Smart Assign.
Choose the number of questions that you'd like to assign and then select Next.
How to assign an assessment using Assignment Builder:
Click the Assignments drop down and select New Assignment.
Title your assignment and click Add Questions.
On the left-side menu, find Subjects & Topics and click Add.
Search for and select your desired subject.
Click Assessments to view all available assessments.
Click the checkbox next to the assessment you intent to assign. Click Apply.
Click Quick add questions in the top right corner of the screen. To assign the assessment as designed, click Add all questions. Alternatively, assign your desired number of questions.
Click Done Adding to preview your assignment.
Click Recipient Settings and apply your desired settings, including recipients due dates, timers, etc.
[Pro-tip]: You can customize student settings to ensure you meet students' IEPs or other unique needs.
Click Assign to share with your class(es).
