Ensuring our content is accessible to students is part of our mission, and we're working hard to achieve that goal. We know having Albert questions translated can be a necessity for your students to be able to fully utilize Albert.
Click on the option below that works best for you. If your students are using different devices to interact with Albert, please let us know and we can help you find an appropriate solution!

Go to the Albert page you want to read aloud and right-click on a blank spot on the screen. Click the option that says Translate to English.
Once here, a pop-up will appear below your search bar, and you can select your preferred language.
If you would like to have the content read aloud, turn on Select-to-speak by following the instructions outlined in this video.
Using Microsft Edge

In the address bar of Microsoft Edge, click on the translation button. You can select your preferred language and then click Translate.
If you would like to have the content read aloud, turn on Immersive Reader by following the instructions outlined here.
Note: You may need to add your preferred language to your Microsoft Edge language setting to translate Albert's content.
Using Google Translate™
Using Google Translate™
Google Translate™ enables you and your students to translate an entire webpage, phrase, or a single word to a multitude of different languages.
Getting Set Up
Follow this link to read more about Google Translate™ and add it to your or your student's browser.
Click the Add to Chrome button in the top right of the webpage and then the Add Extension button in the subsequent pop-up window.
You'll now find the extension shortcut to the right of the search bar on your Google Chrome browser.
Entire Page Translation
To translate all of the text on a page, click on the extension shortcut to the right of the search bar; it is the blue icon with a white "G." This will cause the following popup.
From here, click Translate this Page to have the entire page translated to your selected primary language. This toolbar will appear at the top of your page, allowing you to toggle back and forth between the selected language and the original language of the page.
Phrase and Single Word Translation
After adding the Google Translate™ extension to your browser, you can double click on a word or drag your cursor over a phrase. Click on the extension shortcut to the right of the search bar; it is the blue icon with a white "G." This will cause the following popup.
Customization
Customizing this Chrome Extension is straightforward and gives you two customization options. To navigate to this menu, click on the extension shortcut to the right of the search bar and click Extension Options in the resulting pop-up.
In this window, you can...
Set your primary language to dictate which language selected content will be translated to.
Select how you want to interact with the single-word and phrase translations. The default is to have an icon pop up when you highlight text, but if you know you are going to use this feature often, we recommend selecting the option to Immediately display popup to save yourself a click in seeing the text translation.
