Updated over 7 months ago

With Career Path Explorer, you can look up job titles and examine labor market data. Or find opportunities that fit your skills and tailor your job search. You will also receive a skills gap analysis, current job postings in your area, and learning recommendations.

There are two ways to review career paths in Career Path Explorer:

1. Type in a job title and select an option from the drop-down menu to view more information on that role.

2. Explore career pathways based on your skills. Click 'Identify Your Skills' to add your skills into the SkillsID tool. Click here for instructions.

  • Once the skills are added to the platform, click 'Explore Careers'

  • Our Skill Gap Analyses will review your skills and provide career opportunities that best match, and the additional skills that's required. Click 'Learn More' to examine Labour Market Insights.

  • Using your IP address for the default location, see how your career search compares to Labour Market Insights in your area, province, or even country-wide.

  • Below the Labour Market Insights are Job Opportunities in this Career which are sourced from our Job Search aggregators. We source data about open roles from major providers such as Adzuna, Careerjet, and more. Click on 'View Details' to view the job listing or save it to the Job Tracker.

  • At the bottom of the page are Recommended Courses. You'll find course recommendations from Linkedin Learning for skills related to that career.

    • 'Access Course' will direct you to our Marketplace to purchase a 3 month extension to Linkedin Learning.

    • 'Learn More' will take you directly to the course if you still have access to the Linkedin Learning service in your Welcome Package.
