Troubleshooting Zoom Issues

Learn what to do if you have trouble connecting to Zoom, or if your audio or video isn't working properly.

If you're having problems connecting to Zoom, or if your audio or video isn't working during a meeting, follow the tips below:

  • Connection Issues:

    • An unstable internet connection will cause Zoom to buffer and disconnect. Test your internet connection by joining a test meeting

  • Audio Issues:

    • Ensure your microphone isn't muted. If using a computer or laptop, click the Audio icon at the bottom left of the screen.

    • Make sure you are using the correct microphone and speaker. Click the ^ on the Audio Icon for more options.

    • If using the Zoom app on your phone, tap "More" in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

      • Select "Settings"

      • Tap "Meetings"

      • Under "Audio", you'll find the options to manage your audio settings.

  • Video Issues

    • Ensure your camera isn't turned off. Click the Video icon at the bottom left of the screen.

    • Make sure you are using the correct camera. Click the ^ on the Video Icon for more options.
