Investor Checks as % of Fund Size

Most venture capital firms will write checks that are only 1-2% of their total fund size. This means that if a VC has a $100M fund, their typical check size will likely be in the range of $1-2M. For a $500M fund, you’re looking at checks around $5-10M.
