Freshbooks (good for consulting) and Quickbooks (better for smb) - prefer quickbooks online for early stage startups.
Drift is also quite good (Started from former Hubspot folks and Hubspot itself is an investor). It also depends on what existing tools you rely on. We are more inbound focused and wanted something cheaper/simpler than salesforce so we use Hubspot and having the Drift <-> Hubspot integration is quite nice.
Zoho Invoice handles ACH and Stripe among other payment methods.
Bonsai is also great.
Stripe is more robust for subscriptions but a little more complex too. Neither one are difficult for simple invoicing.
