I pay my channel 7% and that is for them managing the account ongoing and taking care of all billing. If you think you want to pay them something, then I would offer them 3% of the first year revenue if it results in revenue within 90 days. Otherwise you run the risk of what is called ‘drive by registrations’. It is the practice where a sales guy (or someone) heard about something but doesn’t have any real info and wants a reward.
