Is it normal for an investor in Due Diligence to ask what you think is appropriate in near and long term multiples for "a company like yours"?

Do you have other investors who are interested? You can infer to them that you have other capital interested, but you're not as concerned in near term valuation as finding the right growth partner. You like them because of such and such, and they should make an offer that they're comfortable with that you can take to the team. Hopefully that would push them to make the first offer instead of asking you. And of course long term, you're going to be a giant rocketship unicorn and they should be lucky to get in early.
