How long is a 409A process? And how much did it cost?

Before issuing stock options, you need a 409a otherwise it would be risky.

It would probably be the easiest if you would use Carta for it. They'll be your cheapest bet.

One note on Carta: they seem to give higher valuations than you ideally would like. So in some ways, it can be more expensive if you’re doing 83bs than the actual upfront cost of doing the 409A. There are other providers which promise they can go lower than Carta.

Carta is used by many of the VC-backed companies but there are a lot of options out there. Just use whatever you are already using as it makes your life much easier.

ShooBx is $1200.

https://fast409a.io/ - You get some SVB/FRB discount on the $1000.

captable.io is an easy one.
