Task: Inspection

Rex PM allows users to create and manage Inspection Tasks in one place.

Rex PM allows you to create and manage all Inspections including Routine, Entry and Exit Inspections.

Create Inspection Task

  1. Go to Tasks > Inspections

  2. Click Create Inspection

  3. Select your Inspection Type

    • Routine Inspection

    • Entry Inspection

    • Exit Inspection

Once you have created your Move Out/In Task you can begin adding all the details.

This information includes:

  • Description - a brief note about the task

  • Property - which property record this is in relation

  • Tenancy - which tenancy this is in relation to

  • Managed By - who is in charge of this task

  • Progress - current progress of the task

  • Priority - how important is this task

  • Follow-Up Date - the date you would like to be reminded of this task

  • Due Date - proposed inspection date

After creating you task you have the ability to add notes and any documents you require to relate to this task.

Manage Inspection Task

An Inspection Task can have one of the below statuses:

  • Not Started

  • Notice Issues

  • Inspection Completed

  • Report in Progress

  • Report Completed

  • Report Sent

To quickly update the progress of your Task you can click the drop-down in the Progress column and select the new progress status from the drop-down.

Close Task

By changing a Task to Closed it will no longer show in the Open Task view but rather be stored in the Closed Tab.


This is intended for Tasks that require no further action.

A Task can be Marked as Closed is the following two ways:

  1. Click Actions

  2. Select Close from the drop-down

  1. Click on the 3 dots on the task in the list view

  2. Select Close from the drop-down
