Guide on how to create a map manually

Once logged in to app.algoreducation.com from your computer or tablet, creating a map with Algor Education is easy. Just click the "+ Manual Map" button on your main page.

The map you create will be automatically saved in your material!

If you open a specific folder before clicking the "Manual Map" button, the map will automatically be assigned to the open folder!

An empty map skeleton will appear for you to fill in as you wish. Algor's concept map editor in its free version allows you to:

  • Insert new nodes, links and relationships;

  • Add images, videos, links to external websites, audio in map nodes;

  • Use different fonts for text, including dyslexia-friendly fonts such as Lexie Readable;

  • Format text on nodes or arrows bold, italic;

  • Change text, border and background colours of nodes;

  • Change layout automatically between mind map (ray map) and concept map (tree map);

  • Move entire map branches easily.

All these tools can be found in the lower sidebars. Those relating to individual nodes can be used by clicking on the individual node and using the toolbar in the picture:
